Caudex creates wheel-thrown planters in New York City.

The vessels are built in two parts: the top, featuring a drainage hole, holds the plant; and the glaze-lined base collects excess water, allowing plants to thrive with proper drainage. High-fired clays are more durable than terra cotta, while providing the texture and porosity essential to root health.

Vessels for delivery in NYC are available to pair with rare and unusual plants that complement their forms and colors. These plants originate from around the globe, but are responsibly sourced from US growers. The planters are filled with custom-made potting mixes that ensure proper aeration and water retention and help prevent accidental over-watering.

Caudex thrills both in the incredible variety of the plant world and the possibilities of man-made design, and we hope to bring both into your environment.
